Since 1948, Red Rich Fruits has been a leading Australian grower, packer, marketer and exporter of superior quality fresh fruit, owned and operated by the Napoleone family. Their mission is to put the highest quality, fresh fruit on all plates in Australia and key export markets.
Vertically integrated, and with national distribution, Red Rich Fruits comprises of orchards, cool-storage, ripening, and packing facilities in Darwin, Gayndah, and the Yarra Valley; a wholesale outlet at the Sydney Markets; and our state-of-the-art packing and distribution facilities in Eastern Creek (NSW), and Coldstream (VIC).
Brief
Operating since 1948, Red Rich Fruits is one of the largest apple and pear growers in the Australian agriculture industry.
They obtained a brand new state-of-the-art, 80m clear span shed, located in Coldstream Victoria.
Having supplied their finished produce storage systems for the past 25 years, Red Rich Fruits approached Bowen Storage with a brief to help them optimise their warehouse storage in their new facility.
Solution
Following an extensive review process, our team of storage experts completed the warehouse design and layout for a state-of-the-art Stow drive in racking system, enabling significant enhancements in the management of inventory in this agriculture sector.
Results
The end result was a highly efficient warehouse system delivered on time and aligned to Red Rich Fruit’s specific requirements. A superior quality product was installed for high-density pallet storage in the chillers. The completed project now processes 1.5 times more in volume, with greater ease of access to pallets and efficient inventory management maximising warehouse usage.
