Spandex

Spandex, a global distributor of innovative graphic solutions, required a tailored storage storage to support a wide variety of product sizes stored across in its dual-warehouse Melbourne site.

With a 2,000 sqm facility and the need to manage 581 pallets efficiently, the Bowen team was brought in to design a solution that would maximise space, maintain flexibility, and support operations today and into the future.

The Project:

Our brief was to deliver a racking solution to accommodate oversized pallets, allow for future adaptability, and optimise flow across two linked warehouses.

Our Solution:

We designed and installed a combination of custom racking configurations, including 4,100mm beams for wide bays, strategic spacing between back-to-back racks for deeper pallets, and optional beam levels for future upgrades. Safety mesh was added to the last run, and custom row spacing ensured easy handling of bulky items. The additional workbenches provided to supporte operational workflow.

The Result:

Spandex gained 529 pallet spaces with maximum storage efficiency across two linked warehouses. The racking layout was engineered to grow with their needs—supporting future changes while maintaining operational safety and flow. The site now confidently manages 581 pallet spaces with enhanced productivity.
