For over 40 years, Spartan School Supplies have been setting the benchmark in performance and durability for school bags, backpacks, uniforms and accessories across Australia.
As their operations grew, so did the need for an efficient and adaptable storage solution to support their expanding Melbourne Distribution Center and the team at Bowen was engaged to take on the project.
Design a storage system that accommodates Spartan’s current and future needs, while leaving room for critical operational functions, like printing and packing.
The Bowen team implemented a Narrow Aisle Selective Racking system tailored for high-density bulk pallet storage. By integrating shelf levels for easy hand-picking, we ensured optimal use of space without compromising accessibility.
Spartan achieved its required storage capacity—4,250 pallets and 850 shelf levels—while maintaining essential operational space for seamless printing and packing workflows. The Narrow Aisle configuration has maximised efficiency and positioned Spartan to scale with ease.
