Hasfarm
Project Information:
Hasfarm Australia is a leading grower, exporter and distributor of cut flowers, foliage and potted plants. Its new Hazelmere warehouse required a storage solution that maximised capacity, particularly within temperature-controlled coolroom areas.
Project Brief
Hasfarm wanted to incorporate the same Springrail push-back system already used successfully at an existing facility. Bowen was tasked with developing a tailored layout that maintained operational consistency while making better use of the new warehouse and its space-constrained coolrooms.
Our Solution
Bowen installed 660 pallet locations of Springrail push-back racking to reduce aisle requirements and increase storage density within the coolrooms. A further 1,000 selective pallet locations were installed to a height of 11 metres for direct access across the main warehouse. The 1,660-pallet layout was designed around Hasfarm’s forklift specifications to support safe, compliant and efficient materials handling.

The Result
- Increased capacity across the warehouse and temperature-controlled areas.
- Reduced aisle requirements create greater storage density within the coolroom.
- A familiar storage system supports a smooth transition for Hasfarm’s team.
- The layout is tailored to Hasfarm’s forklift equipment and operational requirements.
- Close coordination kept installation progressing safely, efficiently and within budget.
