Drive-In Pallet Racking for Volumes of Similar Products
- Single drive-in racking – has a common forklift entry and exit only at one end. This is referred to as Last In, First Out (LIFO) Racking. The last pallet stored in the bay is the first to be taken out.
- Drive-through racking– has entries at both ends. Using the two entry points is referred to as First In, First Out (FIFO) racking. This system provides for pallets that are loaded in to be pushed to the opposite end. The first pallet loaded in a row is the first to be unloaded at the other end. This is ideal for palletised products with expiry dates or limited shelf life.
